Things are going good this week..

Wednesday, June 6, 2007, 07:05 AM EST [Homeschool]

We've gotten math and science done every day so far. And a little history. The kids have one book yet to finsh in the Key To Fractions set (well dd has her last 4 pages to do today in book 3), so they are doing 4 pages a day. I told them once they finish these they'll only need to do 2 pages of the Decimals books per day. I don't think that's too much to ask, but they're moaning & groaning about it. LOL

The weather has been kinda crappy here, so the kids haven't even been in the pool this week. I need to put some water in though and it is evaporating pretty quickly. :(

And I am going to be getting the Harper's Ferry pics up this morning. hehe

    Monday, Monday

Monday, June 4, 2007, 07:12 AM EST [Homeschool]

Ok, so by now we are usually finished with our school "year".. but we ended up a tad behind this time. We have a bit of science and history yet to complete. And both kids are doing some math throughout the summer, just so they don't forget what they've learned this year.

I was hoping that most of our science work would have been finished last week.. but that didn't happen. *sigh* So I am hoping we can get the science and most of our history finished this week. So basically all we'll be doing is math and reading books through the summer.

Public schools are finished Wed. this week. So I'll be watching the girl I babysit every summer again. The kids usually do not want to do any work when she is here.. so we'll have to argue about that for a day or 2. LOL

    Historic Harper's Ferry

Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 07:59 AM EST [Homeschool]

Yesterday dh the kids and I went to the Harper's Ferry Historic National Park. It has been a LONG time since either dh or I have been and it has changed so much. We all had a good time though. It wasn't crowded, it wasn't too terribly hot. The climb up to Jefferson Rock about did us all in. LOL We are so out of shape.

I hope to have pictures up later on today. I am so behind on stuff from the weekend, so I need to play catch up for a bit today before I can mess with the camera.
