I was up and at em this morning early, got the general picking up done, load of laundry done, bathroom wiped down, and breakfast cleaned up after. Mike and I came home after dinner last night and the girls' had made him homemade gifts for his birthday....it was too cute. They put it all together by themselves too. They each made him coupons and creative wrappings......Katie gave him some microwave popcorn in our reusable popcorn containers with a coupon for free babysitting so he and I could have a movie night alone, Dani made one for play time with Ela with a baby drawn on it put inside a clean diaper so we could get something else done around the house, Hellie gave him a coupon for free hugs and kisses. His mother got him a game of movie trivia and Ela and I gave him a flask set for his antique bar. We had cake with him and the girls' headed to bed. He is usually the person the baby goes to at night if she wakes up so I decided to be on duty as my last present to him since her sinuses were bothering her yesterday. She slept well except for stirring once at about 2:30am but she went right back to sleep so that worked out well. Gotta get the girls' stuff out for school as soon as they get home because they are headed to youth group tonight.  Then Mike and I are going to watch a show we have been waiting to premiere tonight and hopefully the little ones sinuses will hold so we get another good nights sleep.

Went out with a girlfriend last night who wanted to treat me to dinner and then we went to her house and watched The Other Boleyn Girl......it was very interesting!! Got in at about 12:30 last night and hit the bed. Got up again at 6:30am and woke the girls' and got them off to the bus. I went back to bed for an hour or so, got up, MIke left for work, we had muffins for breakfast, picked up the house, did a load of laundry, then my MIL and I ran to the store....I swear I run out of everything all at once. Found some good deals on some things for dinners and lunches. Got us some burritos for lunch. Also got Katie and I some hummus since I have been craving it. Ela loved getting out for a bit since with the threats of rain we haven't been out and about lately. She was waving at and saying hello to everyone. Then after I got everything put away we had the burritos which turned out to be better than I thought they would be. Did my work out, took a quick shower, and cleaned up the kitchen. Tonight we are having pork chops, broccoli, and mashed potatoes.....looking forward to the broccoli since I have been craving that too lately (no I am not PG just wanted something different than the rut we have been in).  Katie got all her school work done with nothing left over for home work tonight except to do her nightly reading.  The week is going so well with school and still being able to get things done around the house.  So far changing our approach sure is going great!!!!!

Up bright and early with the girls', turned on the coffee pot and had a muffin, got the girls' dressed, hair done, and they brushed their teeth.  They were so excited I even got a few pictures with my camera I will upload when I get a chance, with coffee in hand I walked them to the bus.....told them to have fun, be good for their teachers, and to remember their most favorite thing about the day and their least favorite thing to tell us when they get home.  I came back and made my bed, got out some sausage to go with the beans Mike is making for dinner, got the curtains open looks like it will be a beautiful day!  Got everything straightened except the couch where Ela had fallen back asleep and Katie's room.  Then Ela and Katie got up and we had some toast with sweet potato butter on it.  I read Ela a book while she got awake better.  Katie has cleaned her room, took out the trash, and washed up a little dishes from this morning.  Only things left to do are the sweeping, a load of laundry, the vacuuming, and get Katie started on her school work.  Hoping to get it done start to finish in 3 hours total today. 

Went to the library today, to the video store..... we are going to watch Nim's Island tonight I have been hearing it is great.  We got the house cleaned, the laundry done, and the bathroom cleaned now that it seems everyone has been through the stomach bug.  I have a corned beef in the crockpot and here in about an hour I will put the veggies in.  Nothing much else going on here today just hanging out with only a few days till school starts.  Went to the girls' meet the teacher night last night.  Dani didn't get the teacher she wanted but one of her best friends' (whose mom is in my scrap booking group) is in her class.  Hellie's teacher seems super sweet and is so pretty and tiny.  We double checked their bus schedule and set up their lunch accounts, the extra plus was dropping off all those bulky school supplies so they don't have to try to take all of it on Monday.  They each got a cubbie type area with their names on it where they could leave everything.  Hellie's teacher already had all their names on their desks and she gave them each goldfish crackers, a new pencil, and had a large area set up for them to color and draw.  We stopped on the way home and got Frosty's for everyone as a cool yummy treat.  It was a great kick off to a new school year for sure.  We will start Katie back to school on Monday as well.  I am also going to restart my exercise program as well as keeping up with my daily water intake.  I am sad they won't be home all day everyday but excited for them to go back to school because they love that the day is so full and that they get to be with all their friends.  I will also like getting back to a more consistent schedule as I love all things ordered and precise.  They already have their new school outfit of their choosing out in their hanging organizer as well as their hair tie for that day.  I will get up and get them all "prettied" up and get them on the bus.  This time of year always signals that my favorite season is just around the corner followed by the holidays which I LOVE so I really enjoy this time of year. As the girls' would type B2S ROCKS....hee hee hee.
