I think about this blog quite often, yet have no time to update here let alone my other blogs. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I last visited this site! I've been without internet for the last month and a half, so I figured since I'm playing catch up everywhere else, I should pop in here as well!

In the last year we've done quite a bit of travelling, changed from a motorized RV to a 5th Wheel Trailer, lost family members and gained new ones, changed jobs, passed several grade levels (especially in math) and picked up some new handicrafts and hobbies! We've spent gobs of time at Disney, (sigh), ruined several swimsuits (or outgrown them!), rode our bikes how many hundreds of miles?, and tried dozens of new recipes in our teeny, tiny RV kitchen! The kids have grown several inches, new wardrobes all around, and I wore a hole in the heel of my training shoes! We've gained new friends, and had old friends move away.

Life has continued on, whether I post it here or post it there.

As long as I post it somewhere, right? :)

Aaarrrghh! I can't keep up! Too many blogs, not enough time. Anyone feel me?

I've spent two days now trying to catch up on reading/posting all my blogs. I think I may be addicted to reading them way more than posting to them.

I think I may need to reevaluate my priorities. :P

I hopped on here thinking I'd have to repost what I'd written last night. When I hit the preview button it had dissapeared and I was in such a hurry I skipped my usual copy step. I was so frustrated with it all! I also noticed that last night I didn't log off before closing my computer. When I opened it up I was still logged in here!

So imagine my surprise when I looked at my site and there was my post! Somehow a couple of the paragraphs had gotten switched up so I fixed that. Sorry if it was confusing. Seems odd to wish everyone a great weekend right in the middle of talking about school!

Craziness!

My baby girl is turning 11 tomorrow! {crocodile tears and sniffling}

As she says, she's finally a preteen. {shuddering} I just see my baby getting taller and more beautiful every day. I wish I had some baby pictures with us here in FL. I'm resolved that when we head north again to visit, I'm sneaking as many pictures as I can into the luggage!

So tomorrow we'll spend the day catering to her every whim {she thinks} and I'll make a jello cake. That was her second choice, she really wants an ice cream cake.

When dad gets home from work we'll head over to Downtown Disney and have a big scoop of ice cream at Ghiradelli (and grab some free chocolate!) {drooling} So maybe she won't still want that ice cream cake? hmmm....she probably will! :P

Because of scheduling, we'll be going ice skating Tuesday night and taking a couple of her friends along. I haven't had ice skates on my feet since before she was born! eek! I'm a great roller blader, but not so hot on the ice. hehe...

So tomorrow is sure to be full of laughter, smiles....and a few tears.

Yesterday, I woke up with DH's sore throat, stuffed up sinuses, aching bones, and the chills/sweats. I didn't feel so great. But I shrugged it off, took a shower, ate breakfast and checked my messages/blogs in the hopes that I could convince myself that I wasn't really sick.

Resistance is futile.

Long story short, I spent all day curled up on the bed with my favorite quilt over me and a roll of TP in my hand. I didn't move, I didn't get up. The kids were really good about foraging for food and staying quiet.

DH gets home from work, "You're still in bed?" (I nod) "Wow, you don't look so good." (feeble smile, "thanks") "Don't worry - I'll feed the kids and take of things, you stay in bed." (oh how I love him)

Today I am much better. (Thank you, God!) I still have a little stuffiness, but at least when I stand up I don't fall over.
