Well. It's Friday again and the kids are begging to not do any school. Fat chance of that happening I say.
So while I prepared 2 breakfasts (yes, DS hated the first one) DD decided to log onto SOS and get her science done for the day. Not only did she finish in record time, she also did the sample lesson that walks you through all the different stuff. She's really getting into the computerized lessons.
After breakfast we finished all our lesson work and then I sat down with DS to work on his science lesson. He got himself logged in and selected the lesson, and proceeded directly to the questions without bothering to read! And he wonders why he got them wrong? So I went back and read it to him so he could answer the questions.
How, how, how am I going to get this kid to read? He knows how. He can figure out words he doesn't know on sight. He understands punctuation. He just hates reading!
? Now what ?

My youngest ds has a hard time with anything he has to read. I end up having to read most of the lessons to him. With tests, he tries to do them on his own first, then I read the questions he missed to him. He usualy gets the answer right when I read the questions. He is finally starting to write sentence answers, but his handwriting is very difficult to read.
