    Another New Year

Friday, January 16, 2009, 01:09 PM CST [General]

It has been quite sometime since my last post.  Still working hard with school and doing just fine.  Reading has improved and going very well.  I have started including a book report so that she can get more out of her reading.

Had a nice Christmas.  We were not able to get much for Christmas, but managed very well.  Our daughter did not ask for much.  She mainly wanted us to be together.

Now I get to the reason for that.  My husband, her daddy, will be leaving for another tour in Iraq in May.  We have been spending as much time as we can together.  It will be hard for us to deal with again, but we will manage.

My son comes back from Iraq at the end of this month from his second tour.  At least he will be stationed a little closer to home this time.  It will be 6 hours from home but it is better than what it has been.

Our Beagle dog had 6 puppies on December 15th and they have been a handful as they get older.  2 boys and 3 girls all little butter balls.  Pictures are posted at www.oakleafphoto.smugmug.com  I am trying to keep up weekly on the pictures.  I need to get this weeks posted.  The puppies are full blooded, just not registered.

Well that is about all happening in our world.

    November Already

Thursday, November 6, 2008, 12:01 PM CST [General]

The elections are over and I am so glad.  I was so tired of all the campaign stuff on TV.  I am glad we have channels that don't have campaign commercials.  So now we look forward to two birthdays and Thanksgiving.  I like this time of year.  It is getting cooler outside and the leaves are falling.  I like the cold weather, not too fond of the hot and humid weather.  I know the dogs are not too fond of the cold weather.  We have been enjoying the nice 70's, I just wish the bugs would go away.  Suppose to be in the 60's starting tomorrow.  That is my kind of weather and enjoying every minute of it.

Well that is about all for now.  Will check in later.

Thanks for the link. I'll have then go to the site tomorrow and see what they think. They don't like things that are too cutsey, but you never know. Even if they are entertained for a week it is something!

Hi, we are in Southern Germany, I haven't been to the north much. What typing program are you using? I am looking for one for my daughters. They don't like the one they have right now, wish I could remember the name, it has a talking parrot. They want something a bit more "serious".

Sparta is in the middle of the state, about a 4-5 hour drive (on a good day) up I-40 from Memphis. I hope school is going well for you. We are planning on getting back to full schooling next week.
