Matthew is taking an active interest observing us when we homeschool. We likes to see and look through his board books. I have been reading to him daily and he enjoys it. It helps that I got more books through Paperbackswap.com
Here are the changes we are making:
For writing,
I am holding off using Handwriting Without tears until January and instead use some of our Kumon workbooks to help Michael with his penmanship. He is doing well with these books.
Reading: We are going back to using the Bob Books and reading lists. We tried the Five in a row and Michael did not like it. I think when he is older he would but for now I am sticking with what we started with in the summer and go by his reading level. I am still using Pocket Charts for Reading but I am going to start using it for Science and Math too. Michael likes using Pocket Charts.
Math:
I am holding off on using Math U See until next Fall. My older sister gave me her set and I need to order the student workbooks. For now we are going to continue with Math file folder games and the basics for his grade level.
