It has been a crazy holiday weekend. On Saturday, we got up early to go to a flea market. We have some friends who go camping at a lake on holiday weekends. This particular weekend they were having a sale at the campground to raise money for missionaries in the Ukraine. I love flea markets and yard sales! Here's what I found:
2 purses. One is big enough for my Bible to take to church and the other one is a small, everyday purse.
3 new binders - since we've already outgrown the ones we made a few weeks ago!
an old Abeka science book,
and a bunch of kitchen utensils. Altogether, I spent about $3!
Next, our friends talked us into taking a 9-mile bike ride! The whole trail is 7 miles (14 round trip), but after 4.5 we turned around. Not before enjoying sitting out by the lake and enjoying a drink for a while first, though:
Then, it was on to B-I-L's house to help him remove a stump from his yard. In the process, DH cut the artery below his knee and needed to go to the hospital to get 12 staples put in his leg! OUCH! (Don't worry - no pictures). We got home about 2:30 am.
The next day we were supposed to go to my dad's church and then back to his house to help (well DH, not me) him put roof tresses on the garage he is building. We didn't make it to church after our late night, but we did go down to my dad's. I was worried about DH tearing open the staples, but he took it easy. He's the one in the middle.
Here they are putting the last one on. Soon after this picture, we ate pizza together and then headed home. It was a busy weekend!

Cool deals you found! Sorry to hear about hubby. Hope his leg heals fast. Ouch!!
