    Computer Crashed

Thursday, July 17, 2008, 02:49 PM EST [General]

My daughters school computer crashed last week.  I had to send away for the disks to wipe and reboot the computer.  Everything that was stored on it is gone.  It has been a pain trying to reload the support programs needed to access email, im, school programs,...

I have been trying to replace photos that may be stored other places.  I realize that I have lost most of them for good.

This computer is making me crazy asking for passwords everywhere I go.

I am going to have to do this with my sons computer too, the one with the keyloggers.  It's the only way to get rid of them.  Atleast he gets a chance to save important documents.

    Whewh

Thursday, July 3, 2008, 10:58 PM EST [General]

June went by with a whirl wind of activity.  First was the end of  school and all the paper work that goes with that, then there were camps, dd went to overnight camp for a week, then to day camp for the next week.  While dd and I were at day camp (I was a leader) youngest ds was at overnight camp.  Oh, and in the middle of all that, 15 yo ds managed to get himself into trouble.

    Memorial Day

Tuesday, May 27, 2008, 11:32 PM EST [General]

Dd and a friend slept in the tent Sunday night.  Monday started out nice,  but mid morning it rained for about an hour.  Lol, my kids had just finished washing the car. Luckily I had seen the weather forcast the day before and insisted that the kids take the tent down.

By parade time everything was dried off.  I drove the car in the parade with the signs the kids made for the lemonade stand were taped on the sides. The horses were so close behind me that the muzzle of the first one was all I could see in my rear view mirror.   There was a misunderstanding so, not being one to make waves, I decided not to take park where I had planned.  The girls sat with the car and the lemonade by the street.  I went to the ceremony.  Youngest ds was one of the flag bearers for the Boy Scouts.  He had to stay the whole time.  We ended that part of our day with food at the Legion Hall.

About 5:00 I took dd and youngest ds to the beach at Presque Isle.  Lake Erie was COLD, but the kids swam for about an hour.  Every one had warm baths or showers when we got home.

PS  The Boy Scouts cleaned the cemetaries and planted flags on the vetrans' graves.  One of my neighbors told me she hoped her husbands grave wasn't forgotten.  Later that week ds told me about wars the people had served in where he planted flags, and that he had put a flag on C. N.'s grave.

    Finally

Friday, May 23, 2008, 08:06 PM EST [General]

We finally got the ok to do our second lemonade stand.  I wanted to make sure it would be ok with the people in charge of the ceremonies.

    Lemonade

Saturday, May 17, 2008, 06:59 PM EST [General]

Today was the day of the Lemonade Stand.  It was windy, cold, and rainy off and on.  I ended up having to buy some things, pledges fell through.  The kids had a great time playing outside while Mom did most of the selling.  We made $15.57, and have over 5 gallons of drink left over.
Do you spell teenage boy S-T-U-P-I-D?  Some friends of my 15yo ds were hanging around the pavilion where we held the stand.  Dd told me that two of them had jumped the fence and one was sitting on the RR tracks holding his hand up to stop the train.  I ran behind the  pavilion and yelled at them.
At about 3:00 we cleaned up and left. 15yo ds went to stupid's house, 11yo ds and dd went home and are now sleeping.  Wow, 7:00 and asleep, actually, they've been asleep for a couple hours.  Even the turtle is asleep. I guess it's just me and the computer.
I took pictures, I'll post them when I get them developed.  I bought a disposable camera because dh has the digital at work.
