Someone asked me why I don't like public b&m schools.  I was the the kid who wasn't called on, even if I was the only one with my hand up.  I was the one that was picked last for any teams; that's probably why, to this day, I am not into playing sports.  If someone had cp on their hand, I most likely was one of the ones they were taunting, saying that I had c's.  This had nothing to do with actual c's, it was just a major put down.

In highschool I learned I had to play a game that was stacked against me.  My parents were not from that town, they were not rich, they didn't hold a public office, and they weren't teachers at the school.  I had to be a major KISS UP if I wanted that part in the school play, in the Honors Society, or to get in the Symphonic Choir...

I started this blog in March, it is now August. I'm not sure where I was going with it.  Sufice it to say that it was a hard blow when ocy made us put our children in the local b&m school.  I want something better for my kids.

Rice Avenue Middle School has some major issues with communications.  I went to the school office PERSONALLY and requested that my childrens teachers call me.  No calls were made until school was almost over. They did not care to discuss what I expected them to teach my child this past year.  My yongest ds' teachers were only interested in next year. Dd's teachers were only interested in how well she got along with others.

This past school year was very difficult.  There were many days spent in frustration and tears.
