Nobama, where are u taking us?!

Thursday, April 23, 2009, 07:46 PM EST [Government]

I honestly feel like sticking my head in the sand, and not listening to anything else about President Obama.  Every time I hear something about him, I want to move to somewhere else (warmer, preferably!) where I can have about the same freedoms I have here, only to remember there are precious few countries I could move to!  Australia seems okay, and I could live there for a while, but it'd be hard on us all to move to another hemisphere even if it DID put us out of Obama's reach.  Not only that, but I would have to learn a whole new slang dialect!

I have no idea how this guy ended up the leader of the free world, but I can't take hearing about his half cocked ideas that sound good on the surface.  He's destroying America at every turn, we're scared as individuals to say anything against him, since all his followers would rather be caught dead than listening to AM radio or watching (gasp!) cable news channels!  And, since I live and work in a predominately liberal area, I have to wonder if there will be retaliation if I voice a negative opinion.  Liberals are liberal about speech, until you're against them!

Did you notice the tea party coverage?  They found the biggest idiots to 'interview' and then noticed the lack of black people at these parties - like it was made specifically to segregate or something.  Heaven forbid actual caring for America has anything to do with it, or that party affiliation may have played a role.  Although, parties weren't excluded from what I heard.  Some Dems were at these rallies, but no media outlet sought them out for any interviews. But let's as the media, find the one black man who's only comment there is, "there ain't no blacks here, tho." (is he separate from black people...?)

To Obama: Go ahead, tax the crap out of us.  You might as well.  Tax us at 90 percent, and offer those without work food, housing, clothing, money for bills, the whole nine yards.  Tell ya what, I'd stop working and encourage everyone else to do the same!  You are heading us down the path of socialism, and it's got a happy attractive face attached to it, but reality will hit us this summer and there will be riots with $10/gallon gas prices nation-wide.  (You'll have to up minimum wage to make ANY money with this because min wage workers won't be able to afford to GET to work.) (And don't say anything about mass transit until you have to get on a Detroit city bus as someone who's the wrong color at ANY time of day.  Trust me, I've been there!)

To the silent democrats out there who are paying attention, who love America, who really don't want to be taxed at 90%, or see our necessities go beyond anyone's price range, please please please read as much as you can. Pick up a book, watch some cable news, listen to some AM radio even if you disagree with 99% of what's being said, you need to know what's out there.  You need to see this problem from all sides so we can work together to rebuild America without spending so much money in government programs (like NASA, like pork projects, like bailouts).  So we can start over with a clean sweep of DC and the greed that exists there!  Re-read the constiution ~ (u have 2 misspell that or it deletes the middle) and the bill of rights.  Keep in mind that the president wants to have a new constiution written up.

Personally, I can't take it anymore.  I need a nap.  I'm going back into the sand and will be the first to say, "I told you so" as soon as the peak summer driving season drives (no pun intended) the price of gas up.

    The 912 Project

Monday, March 16, 2009, 07:47 PM EST [Government]

Okay, folks.  Volde's huge into watching Glenn Beck, both back when Beck worked for CNN and now that he's at Fox News.  Beck hosted a show Friday that was so moving, even I teared up.  You know, it's something I don't really do, and anyone that knows me knows I'm a tough nut.  Anyhow, I'm dedicating this particular blog entry to Glenn Beck and urging everyone who stumbles blindly into my blogosphere to please check out his site, sign up if you believe we are doomed if we do not unite against the corruption going on in our government.  Below was taken directly from the912project.com's website.

    Mission Statement

This website is a place for you and other like-minded Americans looking for direction in taking back the control of our country. It is also a place to find information that will assist you in navigating the rough waters we face in the days, weeks and months ahead.

We suggest that you start in your own homes.  Talk to your family about the Values and Principles.  Discuss the importance of what the Founders designed for America.

Hold or attend a weekly meeting in your neighborhood or town. Communication with your neighbors is vital to the process of protecting our country.  Gather in living rooms, coffee houses or restaurants.  Share your thoughts and ideas.

Visit this website often.  Make use of the resources that are linked here.  Share the ideas and resources that have worked in your home or town.

This is a non-political movement. The 9-12 Project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created.

That same feeling - that commitment to country is what we are hoping to foster with this idea. We want to get everyone thinking like it is September 12th, 2001 again.

    Ask yourself these questions:

    • Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?
    • Do you believe that your voice isn't loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?
    • Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach...as if you're completely alone?

If you've answered YES, then you've fallen for the Wizard of Oz lie. While the voices you hear in the distance may sound intimidating, as if they surround us from all sides-the reality is very different. Once you pull back the curtain,  you realize that there are only a few people pressing the buttons, and their voices are weak. The truth is that they don't surround us at all.

    We surround them.

At the origin of America, our Founding Fathers built this country on 28 powerful principles. These principles were culled from all over the world and from centuries of great thinkers. We have distilled the original 28 down to the 9 basic principles.

So, how do we show America what's really behind the curtain? Read the nine simple principles. If you believe in at least seven of them, then we have something in common.

    Welcome.

This is why I feel everyone should visit the site, order some bumper stickers or coffee mugs or t-shirts. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
